Loy krathong / Yi peng in Chiang Mai 2011.?
I plan to visit Chiang Mai in early November this year (2011), during the loy krathong / Yi peng. I understand that this year the day will fall on the 10th November Thursday. The famous release of the lanterns from the university grounds in mae jo, I understand is on the saturday before the actual loy krathong / yi peng day.
This would mean the day of the big lantern release is the 5th November saturday? Please advise
I wish to book my holiday and want to ensure I don’t miss out on this great sight!
I’m after the date that the big release of the lanterns at Mae Jo happens. Any one know this date?
Loy Kratong will be on November 10 this year!
However, before that date, 2 days before and 2 after, Chiang Mai will already be full of fun and enjoyments! Come and join the fun. Don’t miss that experiences in your life!
